The Heritage Visitor Centre has rebranded since the demise of the former management regimes.
A steering group has been appointed to establish robust governance and operation of the heritage centre.
Many improvements to the public offering will be implemented during the refurbishment and restructuring of the former operation.
Major forthcoming attractions include a 1940’s weekend which celebrates the 80th anniversary of the film Brief Encounter.
The popular Model Railway Exhibitions will be to be held in April and August.
A ‘Beer Fest’ is in the planning stage along with many differing events which will cater for all.
Already in planning is Carnforth’s very own Christmas Market at the Heritage Centre.
A CHVC luxury train hopefully being pulled by an LMS or former WCML operating steam locomotive.

The Furness & Midland Hall is available for private hire.
The Caledonian Room is available for hire with full audio visual equipment for meetings, workshops and gatherings and can accommodate between 12-15 people.
